Back in late 1994, five years after the December 1989 Revolution, Sorin Rosca Stanescu (former USLA informer, 1975-1985) was a favorite of the opposition to Ion Iliescu and the PDSR (former FDSN, former FSN), at home and abroad. Here, the relay of an article in SRS’ then new Ziua, suggesting, how conveniently, that from 11 November 1989, the Securitate had decided not to get involved in any demonstrations against the Ceausescu regime. Col. Rasina was arrested for his role in the Securitate counter-revolution of December 1989…as witnessed below…just a guess here, but do you think maybe Rasina had an interest in and was attempting to clear the former Securitate and his own name for their role in the repression, bloodshed, and mayhem of December 1989?
